Volunteer Spotlight
 
Susan Piner presents a check for $350 to Patricia Moody for the Mission at a recent Sorosis Tea.
"Many years ago, nearly forty to be exact, my husband was out of work and we had medical bills with the birth of our fourth child. Times were bleak, but we always had our faith. A neighbor must have reported our plight to the Orlando Union Rescue Mission, for lo and behold, on the day before Thanksgiving, they arrived with a bag of groceries and a turkey for our table. How grateful we were!

"I have been a supporter ever since in a meager way. So, I was especially pleased when I became Chairman of the Sorosis Philanthropic Committee to be able to raise funds and grant a more substantial amount to an organization that does such wonderful work in our community and has a special meaning for me."
