Local Rescue Mission to Host Christmas Banquet

Orlando, FL – The Orlando Union Rescue Mission (OURM) will host a Christmas Brunch Banquet Friday, December 19, 2014 at its current Men’s Center. Last month, OURM reached a deal with the Orlando Magic to purchase the property for $3 million.

The Christmas Brunch Banquet is free and open to anyone within the community that is in need of a meal. OURM staff is preparing to hand out anywhere from 800 to 1,000 dinners at the Banquet. The menu being served will be ham, hash browns, fried potatoes, eggs, French toast casserole, fresh fruit, biscuits with gravy, and sweet rolls. Along with a warm meal, OURM will distribute coats, hygiene packs, socks, hats, and gloves that have been donated by schools, churches, individuals and local organizations throughout the community.

Where: OURM Men’s Center- 410 West Central Blvd. Orlando, FL 32801 (parking on street directly in front of Men’s Division will be reserved for media and marked with cones)

Time: 9am-12 Noon
