Local Rescue Mission Surprises Residents and Celebrates Long Awaited Grand Re-Opening of Family Life Center

 In Press Releases

ORLANDO, FL– After years of bleak stark and sterile-looking space, Orlando Union Rescue Mission’s (OURM) Arthur J. and Marie H. Williams Family Life Center (FLC) has gotten quite the face lift. This is the first renovation of the FLC since its construction was completed in 1998, and consists of an overhaul of youth areas to the theme, “With God All Things are Possible.” Not only is the FLC is more esthetically pleasing and welcoming to kids of all ages, the newly improved areas are also strategically designed to assist in meeting the developmental and academic needs of the 60 to 80 children that are served daily. The highly anticipated event has garnered buzz from both residents and supporters to unveil the end result of the $200,000 project.

O.U.R. Mission Home children, along with donors will celebrate the big reveal together, with opportunities to test their skills with various “Minute-to-Win it” games while being entertained by an event DJ. Attendees of this ribbon cutting event will include Congressman Daniel Webster, and City of Orlando District 5 Commissioner, Regina Hill.
