2020 CLC Commencement Ceremony – Orlando Union Rescue Mission

Congratulations to our 2020 Graduates!

Six Mission guests earned their high school diplomas in 2020. Four others successfully completed refresher courses designed to better equip them for the workplace. On October 24, the Mission hosted a special graduation ceremony held at the Moody Chapel in recognition of their academic achievements.

Stephanie Johnson was honored as Student of the Year. Deanna Denmark, Stanley Jackson, Simone Perry, Coretta Prince, and Lana Zorc also earned their high school diplomas, while April Giallanza, Helen Hinton, Calvin Masongale, and Alain Mendez received training certificates.

The Orlando Union Rescue Mission’s Career Learning Center (CLC) is the only adult Christian high school in Central Florida. It provides the Mission’s guests with a learning experience tailored to each student’s individual needs. Specifically designed to address the educational challenges of the homeless, the program offers not only a full high school diploma, but also a path to employment and self-sufficiency.
