Family Home – Orlando Union Rescue Mission

Family Home

A Safe Space

Dedicated to Helping

Families & Single Women In Need

The Mission's Family Home exists to remove the financial burden of parents and single women experiencing homelessness and equip them with the tools needed to achieve a life of self-sufficiency. Intact families, single mothers, single fathers, and single women are all welcome.

A Basic Overview

  • Our Family Home ensures all essential needs such as meals, laundry facilities, hygiene items, daycare, and education are provided at no cost to guests living at the Mission.
  • Every family resides in a private room with their own bathroom while single women reside in semi-private rooms with a dorm-style bathroom facility.
  • Families receive guidance from a case manager who helps map out a customized program for permanent recovery and walks with the family until they can stand on their own.
  • True life transformation begins through a relationship with Christ. Therefore, the heart of the Family Home program includes introducing families to Jesus Christ and guiding them on building a stronger relationship with Him.
  • Due to our foundational beliefs on marriage, unmarried couples may not reside in the same room under any circumstances. Women and children may live at our Family Home while the unmarried, male spouse must stay at Project Hope, our men’s facility.
