Family Life Center

Every Family Member

Needs Their Space

For Learning and Fun

The Family Life Center is designed to empower every family member staying at the Mission with the tools they need to live a successful and joy-filled life. Education and fun are our top priorities. Adult guests can pursue their high school diploma at our on-campus, accredited high school while youth maintain access to tutors and after-school aid. Vibrant and kid-friendly décor create an atmosphere of wonder as we welcome everyone to try, learn, and experience something new today.

Programs Include:

The Career Learning Center (CLC)

The CLC is a self-paced, educational program for adult residents at the Mission. It houses our on-campus, accredited high school which provides both refresher courses to those who have already received their high school diploma and personalized classes to those who have not. Guests pursuing higher education are connected with Mission partners who provide guests with the best education at an affordable rate (and sometimes no cost!).

Early Learning Center (ELC)

Free daycare is available for parents who are enrolled in the Career Learning Center or who work outside of the Mission. The ELC is a space where our youngest guests can dream big and understand that despite their economic circumstances, God has not abandoned them.

Youth Learning Center (YLC)

The YLC caters to the unique educational needs of school-age children (K-12th grade) facing homelessness. An 11-station computer lab and library provide quiet spaces to study. Youth advocates and tutors offer support, wisdom and assistance as they guide children toward their academic, social, and emotional best. A recreation room and our Family Life Center gym ensure each child has room to create, explore, and play—just as every child should.

Adult Library

Our adult library offers a quiet space for our guests to read, study, and work. Computer stations allow guests to pursue courses in higher education or work-from-home jobs without leaving their Mission home. Books are available for personal pleasure and learning pursuits.

Counseling Center

The stress of homelessness can often exacerbate or become a catalyst for mental health issues. Our counseling center exists to address issues affecting our guests’ behaviors and thought patterns, creating new coping mechanisms and reigniting their hope for a better future. No age group is spared from mental illness so our professionals are prepared with age-appropriate methods to assist every guests, from our youngest to our oldest.

Victorious Life Class

Within the first month of living at the Mission, all adults are required to attend this life-transforming class that walks guests through the basics of the Bible and introduces them to a God who loves them regardless of the hardships they face.
