We are currently hiring for the following positions:

Division: Development

Reports To: Director of Development

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary:
The Marketing Coordinator will be primarily responsible for managing marketing correspondence from OURM—ensuring proper branding, messaging and fundraising strategies are employed.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Create content and maintain social media: Facebook, Instagram YouTube, and Vimeo
  • Project manage the production of direct mail cultivation appeals and newsletters annually, ensuring writing, design, print, data segmentation/pulls, thank you letter, web content are completed at a level of excellence by all team members.
  • Create content for seven newsletters
  • Coordinate with our marketing agency to maintain OURM’s online activities including (but not limited to): email blasts and website with current program and campaign information
  • Compose email blasts (copy and design) according to theme and deadline outlined in annual Development Plan
  • Work with print vendors on additional print projects/special mailings to ensure satisfactory quality and execution of project within pre-established deadlines and print budgets.
  • Compile and maintain OURM resource library (including photographs, videos, written/verbal testimonies)—ensuring sufficient resource is available for direct mail, newsletters, videos, website, social media, media, speaking engagements, email blasts and other development materials and public relations projects.
  • Create compelling video content for use on website, social media and other marketing channels.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Development

Qualifications:

  • Must possess bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess creative writing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Photoshop Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere) is required
  • Experience with WordPress is required
  • Experience with GoogleAdWords, Google Analytics is a plus
  • Professional, goal-oriented, creative, self-starter
  • Must have the ability to organize and prioritize work

Division: Development

Reports To: Director of Development

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary:
The Volunteer Services Coordinator proactively recruits and trains new volunteers; manages existing volunteers, ensuring their overall volunteer experience at OURM is positive; communicates and coordinates daily with Mission directors and staff members, guaranteeing all interdepartmental needs for volunteers are met; and solicits gift-in-kind needs.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain OURM master volunteer calendar and notify staff of volunteer service opportunities
  • Collaborate with Development staff members on various OURM events & projects
  • Coordinate with Mission directors and corresponding staff members to ensure the Mission’s need for volunteers across all departments is met daily
  • Identify volunteer needs and proactively recruit volunteers by attending church/workplace fairs, speaking engagements, and other public relations events
  • Host volunteer orientation sessions and work with OURM staff (if necessary) to ensure that volunteers obtain proper training prior to service opportunities
  • Conduct Mission tours for new and prospective volunteers and donors
  • Review and process volunteer applications and background checks (when required) in a timely manner
  • Ensure adequate volunteer coverage, oversee and coordinate OURM programs and special events, including OURM banquets
  • Coordinate volunteer appreciation week events/mailings/awards
  • Cultivate volunteers by phone, e-mail, and personal contact, expressing appreciation and encouraging recurring volunteer service
  • Document and log volunteer hours in a volunteer tracking system
  • Share volunteer feedback with OURM staff to continuously refine volunteer programs
  • Solicit gift-in-kind items for urgent needs (e.g. pillows, sheet sets, towels…) and annual drives (e.g. OUR Mission: Hope, Back to School, Christmas, and Happy and Healthy Baby)

Qualifications:

  • Must be an energetic team player who is able to multitask and work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while meeting deadlines
  • Must have administrative skills
  • Friendly, engaging, and professional with the ability to cultivate and maintain positive relationships with volunteers, donors, and Mission staff
  • Self-starter who is organized with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn new programs
  • Hands-on experience with common office equipment such as printer, scanner, copier, fax, and laminating machine
  • Ability to use a DSLR camera to take high-quality photos of volunteers, donations, donors, and events
  • Ability to work collaboratively and productively with a wide range of people and personalities from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Evening and weekend availability for special events
  • Experience developing a volunteer program and supervising volunteers
  • Applicant must adhere to OURM Staff Manual/Doctrinal Statement for additional guidelines and agree to abide by all information contained therein

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but can be substituted with work experience in volunteer services or a closely related field
  • Previous experience working with volunteer tracking software
  • A minimum of one year of experience coordinating volunteers; preferably in the non-profit sector.

Division: Bargain Store

Reports To: Director of the Bargain Store

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Act as secondary cashier ensuring there are never more than two customers in line, also when the current customer has a large order.
  • Welcome all customers entering the story and help check in bags when required.
  • Ensure, provide, and promote excellent customer service
  • Monitor the sales floor ensuring it is kept clean, tidy and organized as well as your work area.
  • Make sure bags and supplies for your area are adequately stocked.
  • Assist with jewelry display and dressing rooms.
  • Assist with customer inquiries directing as needed to Store Director.
  • Report suspicious customer behavior or problems to Store Director.
  • Balance cash drawer at close of day.
