Mission Mourns Passing of Longtime Board Member Ralph C. Meloon – Orlando Union Rescue Mission

Please join the entire Mission family in mourning the loss and celebrating the life of Ralph Meloon, who served on the Mission’s Board of Directors for 69 years. He joined the Board in 1949, one year after the Mission’s founding, and served faithfully and joyfully until his death on Saturday, August 13.

Mr. Meloon spent his professional career with Correct Craft, which his father founded, which he led as CEO, and of which he was the Chairman Emeritus. He traveled the world, selling boats and spreading the Gospel of Christ with unrivaled enthusiasm and success.

He blessed thousands of our guests – the men, women, and children who live at the Mission – with his faithful leadership, infectious love of Jesus, and unremitting joy. We thank God for Mr. Meloon and remember and celebrate his dedicated service with a refrain he used in all circumstances: “To God be the glory.”
