Discipleship

Discipleship is required of all adult guests at O.U.R Mission Home as well as all men enrolled in the Men’s Home Discipleship Work Rehabilitation program. Discipleship assignments are designed to help guests develop the soft skills needed to succeed in today’s job market such as timeliness, dependability, and accountability; they also gain practical jobs skills. Additionally, discipleship helps those who have never worked or those who have gaps in their employment history, gain valuable on-the-job experience.

Guests complete their discipleship training in different ministries throughout the Mission, including the Early Learning and Youth Learning Centers, the Family Home and Men’s Home dining halls, the administration offices, and the Bargain Store.
