Safe Shelter – Orlando Union Rescue Mission

Safe Shelter

O.U.R. Mission’s Family Home provides long-term transitional shelter for single women, single mothers, single fathers, and in-tact families facing homelessness. The facility’s clean, home-like atmosphere provides guests private and semi-private rooms and bathrooms. Guests stay free of charge as they work to become stable and self-sufficient.

Project Hope, O.U.R. Mission men’s campus, provides emergency housing for 48 men and a Discipleship Work Rehabilitation program for 162 men. Those staying at the emergency shelter receive a meal, a shower, and a safe place to sleep. The Discipleship Work Rehabilitation program is a one-year commitment each man makes to do what is necessary to return to self-sufficient living. During that time these men participate in job training and complete their high school education if needed. Nightly chapel services, Bible studies, and Christian counseling are provided for all 210 guests to meet their spiritual needs.

In 2021, Orlando Union Rescue Mission provided 94,621 nights of shelter.
