Homeless Women Get “Glam-Slammed” for Mother’s Day

Orlando, FL – On Friday, May 8th, several Central Floridians will be kicking off the Mother’s Day weekend by joining forces to create a Mission Glam Squad, designed to pamper homeless women and their families at no charge. Glam Stations will be set up in Orlando Union Rescue Mission’s (OURM) Family Life Center Gymnasium, where moms can get “Glam-Slammed” by makeup artists and hairstylists, daughters can enjoy getting their nails painted at the “Mini-Glam Bar,” while sons and fathers will be offered haircuts and “MAN”-icures and “Man”-ssages by nail technicians.

Special Glam Squad guests include: Hair Stylists from Salon Zion, Cupcakes by Ritz Carlton’s Pastry Chef, Nail Technicians from The Nail Bar, Mary Kay Consultants, and Caricature Artist, Dee DeLoy from Newstart Art, Girl Scout Troops, and Local Professional Photographers.
