Mission Awarded $25K Grant From Publix Charities

Orlando, FL –Today, the Orlando Union Rescue Mission (OURM) will hold a press conference with Publix Super Markets Charities (PSMC) to speak about how they’re building a community partnership to help with program support OURM’s Family Home Shelter. Upon learning of PSMC selecting OURM as a recipient of the grant, president/CEO Freddy Clayton released the following statement:

“We are extraordinarily grateful to the Publix Super Market Charities for the generosity of this gift. Every gift to the Mission helps transform the lives of our guests – the formerly homeless men, women, and children who live with us – and the magnitude of the Publix gift will generate hope and bright futures for many of the least fortunate in our community. The Publix Super Market Charities has ensured that our guests will receive the education, training, counseling, and other assistance to equip them to escape homelessness permanently. The Mission and our guests appreciate Publix Super Market Charities more than we can say.”

City of Orlando District 5 Commissioner, Regina Hill, along with PSMC leaders will attend tomorrow’s press conference at OURM’s Family Home to speak about the grant.
